Invincible 04:12
I am not invincible, not matter how I feel. You can't make a deal or convince them all. From death, no man steals. I remember the way the light poured in through the window Sunday mornings and how the neighborhood kids filed into the van, dressed up all nice for their sacrifice. I was ten, maybe not even. Still, I had an entire life's worth of guilt. Lacking language to explain it, so I buried it and it killed. You can't tell me you've been here before. Though I see you, I don't believe you. You tell me I'm gonna wish I never was born, that I'm an action without warning. We were raised in neon cages in the house the Thirteen Families built. Knowing secrets rearranges someone. There's a fire and it's raging in us still. There's a fire and it's raging in us still...

Pindar 04:36
I'm six years older since you died and I'm acting exactly the same way. Tip my shoulder in the sink. Empty me cuz I am lost again. Was it always so hard to tell what we should become when we grow up? And in the past tense I refer to everything I'm dying to revise. Empty me cuz I am lost again. Pain is just the weakness, it's leaving my body. So we're all in the gutter but some of us are looking at the stars. I wanted to stay. It's morbid, I guess, to stay closer to this beautiful mess. It takes time to fake. I'm coming back. The eastern is where I ascend. We chose to laugh. And even now, that friend for life is keeping me strong. We ran through yards of red and blue chasing some ghosts of the youth. We all enjoyed the luxury to breathe anything but the dirt. She kissed me harder and that's the breeze I'll never forget. These fists are stronger and everyone is singing a song I used to know. I want it back, a chance to believe in us all.
